I have always worked good intentions and blessings into my jewelry, but until recently, it's been a 'behind the scenes' thing. I am now at a place where I want those loving intentions and blessings to be more at the forefront. To that end, I've been working steadily to create jewelry that comes from a heart-centered place. My hope is the person that wears my jewelry will sense the joy that has gone into each piece and feel empowered.
Daily I'm a jewelry designer this is my passion and my life. The expression of that passion is through silver and gold and bronze and copper metal clay formed and pinched and wrapped around gemstones and steel and strung and laced and sewn and soldered into objects and trinkets and ornamental treasures to wear and hold and empower the creative spirit.
I am a primarily self-taught jewelry designer. My medium is a relatively new material called Precious Metal Clay (PMC). I began working with PMC in 1998; it was love at first touch. PMC consists of fine silver powder in a clay-like base. Each metal clay component is formed by hand and is unique. My fingerprints are visible in each piece, quite literally, the hand of the maker. After forming, the metal clay elements are fired in a kiln; the clay burns out leaving the now-fused pure silver.
After more than 10 years, PMC continues to inspire both me and my work - work that is driven and defined by my love of texture, composition and balance - in nature and in life.

The diversity of my work is a reflection of my many sources of inspiration - antiquities, the natural world, architecture. A favorite theme is repetition of form and line which I interpret in many of my designs from the point of view of a 'limited palette'. In diversity lies unity which lead me to think of the glorious world of hummingbirds. I've chosen a hummingbird image as the obverse of my KVK hallmark tag to celebrate and honor the concept of unity in diversity.

In each of piece of my work, you'll find my signature blend of rustic elements in classically inspired silhouettes . . . jewelry designs that, while being firmly rooted in my own urban sensibility, have a primal and somewhat ancient quality. Styles will vary, but the work will always be authentic, spirited . . . jewelry for your soul.
