making, unmaking and magic . . .
My days have been filled with settling in . . . nesting, making and unmaking and an exquisite moment of magic . . .
Today, I've been unmaking . . .
I do love to take things apart!
But I love making things even more . . .
After the curtains were done, I dove into the last of the unpacking, our artwork and treasures . . .
I unpacked the last box on Friday then did an exceptionally thorough house cleaning and was all done by the time Dave got home from work. Looking around at all our beloved treasures finally in place, we both marveled at how much better the house felt . . . for the first time, it was really and truly feeling like home.
Soon thereafter a big storm moved in.
It was still pouring rain but the sun was breaking through. I looked out the sliding glass door thinking there must be a rainbow somewhere and was awestruck to see that yes, there was a rainbow somewhere . . .
. . . and it was in our own backyard. Dave and I just stood there watching . . . how long would it last? A fragment of a rainbow was amazing all on its own, but then we looked to the right and realized the rainbow went all the way across our backyard. We had our own personal rainbow!
Talk about a divine blessing . . . rainbow's end is our own backyard . . . home.
with deep gratitude ... kvk
