I've been thinking about it for months, have shared it with a few, have gotten encouraging feedback and now I'm putting it out into the world ... my new concept aka my new business model. It started last fall and is just now coming together. So here's what I've been thinking and working on for the last six months.

I love to make all sorts of things ... jewelry and pots and little linen bags. My motivation to keep up with Etsy and wholesale accounts (since I've been without a rep) has been waning. I've had a decidedly less than positive mantra running through my head ... I don't know what the *@%$ I'm doing, I don't know where the *@%$ I'm going. Then I realized that whatever it was that I was doing and wherever it was that I was going, I wanted it all under one, cohesive roof.

Now here's the new concept, my epiphany ... I'm turning that negative mantra into a positive one. Pretty much the same mantra, different emphasis. I start each morning setting my intention ... to follow my heart and deep knowing; to dive into each day with fresh eyes and no residual baggage. I now get up every day and see what I'm inspired to make, form, create ... I don't know what I'm going to do, I don't know where I'm going ... and ain't that just grand?

My master plan is well underway. The biggest challenge was the new website. I was working under a deadline to switch my web hosting services. This new site is looking pretty spiffy, but be forewarned ... this is just the first draft.

As for what I'm going to make ... today I was inspired to get out my sewing machine and work on linen ditty bags in some new sizes. Where I got to today ...

I'm out of silver gravel beads, so after I finish the hand-sewn details, I'll work on making some silver elements ... might make a bunch.

The idea is that I continue to make lots of different things ... sometimes it will be jewelry, sometimes bags. I'm in the midst of updating my All One Talismans. Prototypes are looking very promising, but you'll have to wait a bit to see those. Little functional pots are in my near future and I'm also working on some seasonal ideas, initially fragrance and candles.

I'm still working on the logistical details, but the plan is to send out email alerts (subscribe here) when new goodies are in the shop, so my community of peeps will get first dibs on the treasures with occasional special peeps' discounts thrown in for good measure. Then I'll post the new offerings here on the blog for the rest of the world.

Another fun thing in the works ... I'm going to have a special page devoted to new discoveries - "radar sightings" - where I'll be featuring the work of friends and like-minded makers and hopefully a few found treasures that I'm willing to part with.

So many ideas, so much inspiration ... sometimes I feel like I'm going to burst ... it's all really exciting and flat out terrifying. I think I may have actually done it this time. Lord knows, if you've followed my blog for any length of time, you know I've been nattering on about it for years. But I think I've finally pushed off from the shore, made that leap of faith, jumped off into the abyss and the great big unknown.

It's all still very much a roller coaster of emotions ... this morning I wasn't so sure, this afternoon it's feeling pretty solid. One thing's for sure, I'm really looking forward to sharing this new venture with the world.
