Big News + my 36th Anniversary SALE!

I guess it's not really a surprise to anyone reading this that I'm kind of a hermit and have been pretty much flying under the radar for a long long time.  I make attempts at being social on FB and participate in a couple of Facebook groups, mostly the Metal Clay group, try to keep up a sort of regular Instagram presence and write periodic posts to this journal.  But after years of relatively quiet making and sporadic social media engagment, I seem to be making small strides to expand my reach.  Which brings me to my "big news" ...

Out today is an artist profile of yours truly in the online metal clay publication, Cre8tive Fire  !!!  When they asked if I'd be interested, I allowed as "are you sure you want to do a feature on ME?" What I do is decidedly different than what's out in the main world of metal clay and it seemed a bit of a stretch.  The editor assured me that was precisely why she wanted to feature me and my work ... fancy that.  It's basically a Q&A with lots of photos and I am beyond thrilled!

So that's something big to celebrate ... and the other big thing to celebrate is my 36th Anniversary!  Not sure how that's possible, but Dave and I were married on July 20, 1980, which appears to confirm the advanced number of anniversaries.

We were married at Maclay Gardens State Park in Tallahassee ... golly we were young!  btw ... as you can see, I used to wear makeup and tweeze my eyebrows!

So the other big news is that I want to share my celebration.  To that end, I'm having a sale - 36% off all jewelry (the pinch pots and linen ditties are already on sale) through Sunday the 24th, midnight PST.  If you find some treasures you'd like for your very own, at checkout plug in the sale code, happy36th, for your discount.

When shopping, remember that the CORE jewels are made to order and will take about 7 - 10 days to make and then ship.  And don't forget to plug in your discount code, happy36th.

I hope you'll check out the profile ... I've no idea where this will lead or if it will have any impact on my business, but it's enormously gratifying to have my work recognized and supported by the more main stream media... a little light shining down on my slice of the metal clay universe ... I'm kind of giddy with it all.

with heartfelt gratitude and light filled blessings - kvk
