A new adventure!
Something new to explore ...
I'm thinking I'm on trend, and like loads of other folks, in that I've reached maximum capacity for stuff ... thank goodness it's not physical capacity, more of a mental overload, and it's turned into a big itch that needs my attention.
My studio feels like it's about to burst and, in these crazy times, I've been pondering how to address the bulging confines. Normally, I give things away, but the library hasn't been accepting donations for months and, besides books, most of what I'm wanting to part with falls into more rarefied categories ... ooooooohhhhh, how's that for mysterious?!?!?
So, here's what I'm doing ...
I've set up a new page here on the site called MC&F: made :: collected :: found, "A collection of treasures, and hopefully a bit of an adventure, to discover treasures I've made, treasures I've collected, treasures I've found. An ever-changing selection of precious bits and bobs from my KVK archives, lovely tomes to peruse and one-of-a-kind deals to be snagged ..."
The idea is to start pulling out all sorts of things I'm ready to part with and list them for sale on the site. Some things will be virtually free ... I'm always saying something costs "a dollar three eighty" and I'm going to translate that into a cost of $1.38. Some things, like some of my 'collectible' books will be listed at a fraction of what you would pay at a used bookseller. Everything will be something to pique your curiosity, a terrific deal and utterly irresistible!
To make this project relatively sustainable, I will be charging my usual $8 flat rate for shipping via USPS Priority Mail within the US (btw, I was off of USPS for a bit, but they seem to be back on track). I'm afraid that international shipping costs are still insanely expensive and probably prohibitive for international peeps ... wish it weren't so.
And here's the best part, my newsletter subscribers will get first dibs when a new bunch of goodies goes live. I'll send out a 'heads up' to my mail list and the next day, announce it on social media. So this might be a good time to scroll down to the bottom of the page and sign up!
Phew - that's a lot and I think quite enough for right now. So stay tuned, as I hope to dive into the big task of letting go ... deep breaths!
OH ... one more thing! I've added some indigo lovelies to the shop, so be sure to check them out!
with great love and heartfelt blessings … kvk
