Aegean Muse, today in the studio March 16th

Just put the finishing touches on the last piece for an order of jewels from my Mythic Collection. Thought I'd take a few minutes to share a few of the "work in progress" lovelies before going to work on packaging and shipping them off.

Revisiting the theme, Aegean Muse ...

I started off in my treasured stash of bottle green sea glass ...

... then started pulling out gemstones and other elements ... plotting the palette

the original Aegean Muse was all shades of aqua and turquoise.  I decided for the updated version to lighten it up by adding warm whites ... pearls, glass and gems

next came drilling larger holes into the pearls, gems and sea glass

laying out the design ...

the finished Aegean Muse ... time will tell where the weight will settle ... always depends on the wearer

and the full Mythic Hoard, heading to Karma in Newton Center, Mass.

Now back to sewing linen bags for each piece, typing up product info cards, packing it all up and shipping ... a full day's work for sure.
