I’m pretty smitten with my new Strata series … I’ve layered super thin strips of metal clay, leaving the irregular edges raw (but smooth) with openings for the chain and gems smeared and a wee bit wonky.

This is a little more substantial interpretation … the Hinged Strata Talisman with Montana Sapphires. The tubular bail slides on a double length of rolo chain with a forged hook/link clasp, all sterling silver.

The chain is 26in long; the pendant hangs 2in below the chain.

An indigo dyed linen blessing is woven through a small section of the chain … I associate indigo with ancestral as well as angelic connections. I say a prayer and set my blessing / intention with each wrap around the chain prior to shipping … that the wearer will experience joy and gratitude, health and well-being on a daily basis.
